About Heat Geek
Heat pump specialists in Marlborough
Heat Geek looks after homes across Marlborough and Kaikoura. We supply, install and service heat pumps, and we do it properly.
Marlborough's only authorised Samsung dealer
If it's a Samsung, we're the only ones in Marlborough authorised to sell and install it. We're also authorised for Mitsubishi Electric and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
Who we are
Our technicians are fully qualified heat pump installers and electricians with over 35 years combined experience. The person sizing your system understands the heat pump and the electrical work behind it.
What we do
We supply and install heat pumps for new and existing homes: high wall, cassette and ducted, with ventilation when the house needs it. We also supply, install and service commercial heat pump and air conditioning units.
How we do it
We come to the house first. We look at the rooms, the insulation and how cold it gets, then recommend a system that fits. Catalogue sizes are a starting point, not a Marlborough winter. Then we install it, show you how to use it, and stay on the end of the phone.
Servicing and repairs
We service and repair all makes and models of heat pump, including ones we didn't install. Regular servicing keeps a heat pump running efficiently and catches small problems before they become expensive.
Commercial servicing and building compliance
For commercial buildings, we service units as part of your building's annual compliance, including the New Zealand Building Act 2004 Form 12A paperwork. Form 12A is the annual certificate that confirms a specified building system has been inspected and maintained, which you need to get or renew your Building Warrant of Fitness (BWoF). One of our own technicians signs it as the registered Independent Qualified Person (IQP).
